Hard'ack 8km Challenge Race
Results: https://stalbansnordic.org/2021-hardack-challenge-3/ Several Nordic Skiing enthusiasts ventured to St. Albans, VT, for the Hard’ack 8km Challenge Race. It has been several years since the venue has hosted an event like this. The day was perfect to showcase the recent improvements to the venue and trail system. Operating as a non-profit, the area relies on passionate volunteers to keep it running. Several NWVE members have had a significant stake in its continuance fr
The Bill Henchey Memorial VT Cup

Skies were blue, temps in the high teens, winds steady, snow was packed with a few slow spots. Trail was hilly with few flats. Our friend Raul Siren was there, along with some college students and young master
Vermont Cup Woodstock
The Vermont skiers were racing again Sunday at the Vermont Cup Woodstock. There were two days of action culminating with the Masters' races on Sunday. The Woodstock Nordic Center has been testing the waters, intending to bring more elite racing to the venue. The current environment provided the perfect opportunity to kick it up a notch. The participant caps and defined fields create more of a rotation of people coming to race in shifts rather than a massive onslaught of ev
